This week’s release includes a new part and existing parts offering additional coverage for the BMW X5 E53.
With the vehicles age increasing and the original rubber bushes perishing, the weight of the vehicle induces excessive movement in the original bushes. This causes vague handling and potentially knocking along with excessive tyre wear where the wheel geometry goes out of alignment when driving.
Firstly we have new part, PFF5-902 front control arm to chassis bush, which replaces BMW part number 31121124622.
This new bush offers better control to the movement of the front lower arm whilst cornering and braking, this also sharpens up the steering response and feel.
For the rear, we now offer lower arm bushes PFR5-710 & PFR5-711 along with PFR5-715 & PFR5-716, rear outer integral link upper and lower bushes.
The rear lower arm front bush comes in a one piece design allowing rotational movement of the arm without blocking up the twist needed for the arm to work correctly.
Both the integral link bushes come with the necessary new Zinc plated outer shells in the kit to replace the bushes, which are not available separately from BMW.
All designs let the bushes rotate freely allowing the suspension to move unhindered without the binding effect of the standard rubber bushes.
The bushes feature our unique grease retaining pattern in the bore of the bush, helping to achieve smoother movement across a longer period of time.
Our bushes offer improved reliability over the original parts and of course carry our Lifetime Warranty.
