The swinging 60’s: an era that saw free love, humans setting foot on the Moon for the first time, and the production of an automotive icon – the Porsche 911.
Its timelessly classic design and desirability have meant that 50 years on, many are still being restored and kept roadworthy, seeing re-sale values of the classic 911 (1965-1971) and 912 (1965-1969) skyrocket with demand.
Time and tide wait for no Porsche, however, with age-perished and worn rubber bushes giving way to excessive movement, knocks and clunks – not least in the drivetrain where gear shift precision and overall transmission response can suffer.
The Transmission/Gearbox Carrier is a prime example of this, and with genuine Porsche and aftermarket replacements costing north of £400 and the bushes not being available to buy separately, it’s often a part that gets overlooked. Until now…
This week, we are adding PFR57-414 and PFR57-414H Transmission Carrier Bush.
Both are made in our Dark Grey 80A durometer material to give the appearance of rubber but with the performance and longevity of polyurethane, reducing bush deflection by an impressive 50%.
For those looking for a more track / motorsport-focused part, our Black Series PFR57-414BLK Transmission Carrier Bush is made in our Black 95A material to stiffen the mount by a further 70%.
A small increase in NVH, usually at idle, should be expected when stiffening the connecting mount between the transmission and chassis. The harder the material used, the greater the NVH transmitted.
For added peace of mind, they are covered by our unrivalled Lifetime Warranty, making them a genuinely fit-and-forget part!
