BMW‘s M Performance division has a history of producing excellent and well-balanced road cars, and the F2x/F3x M-Sport models, or M-lite/Baby M’s as they are affectionately known, are no exception.
Positioned between base models and the range-topping M models, they are marketed as a more exciting middle ground for those on a budget. They receive more powerful engines, larger wheels, edgier styling and interiors, and an honorary “M” badge.
However, while they may look great, they don’t quite reach the heights of their wilder M counterparts in terms of their handling and performance; hence the ‘lite’ analogy. For some, that simply won’t do.
Thankfully, for those wanting more, performance specialists can increase power and transform handling thanks to the highly tuneable engines and the wide range of tuning and handling modifications available.
One such upgrade is to fit the longer F8x M front radius arms as fitted to the M2/M3/M4 for increased caster geometry. However, due to differences in the subframe mountings and length and offset of the bushes, this isn’t a straightforward swap and adaptor kits are required, meaning the OE rubber bush must be retained. PFF5-4901BLK Front Radius Arm F8x M Conversion Bush has been designed to fit the original equipment “M” radius arms but accommodates the wider subframe fitted to non-M cars. This new bush option allows older arms with worn bushes to be repurposed, saving the cost of buying new BMW arms at around £150 to £200 each.
Seen more as a track/motorsport upgrade, these parts are available exclusively through our Black Series and made in our Black 95A material, paired with stainless-steel inner sleeves and CNC-machined outer shells for strength and improved load distribution.
The increase in caster provided by this conversion and the fitment of our bush allows for greater in-corner camber gain, with improved front-end grip and turn-in.
