An old-fashioned recipe of a plucky front-mounted motor, low weight, and rear-wheel drive has been carefully preserved by Mazda over the past 35 years, providing countless enthusiasts with an ideal weekend sports car that’s easy and enjoyable to drive.
The fourth-generation Mazda MX-5 ND is the most recent example, featuring carefully tuned suspension with twin wishbones up front and a multi-link assembly at the rear.
While the MX-5 has an impressive range of geometry adjustability from the factory, one area lacking is the front upper wishbone, limiting its potential for front camber tuning – whether for performance gains or to get your car back to original alignment specs after lowering.
Increasing negative camber improves a vehicle’s stability and grip by maximizing the tyre’s contact with the road when needed most, like during hard cornering. Until now, the only option has been fitting expensive adjustable arms with pillow-ball bushes, suited to motorsport or track environments – making them an expensive modification.
This week, we’re pleased to announce a more budget-friendly all-in-one bush solution that offers greater adjustability, but with the compliance and durability of polyurethane.
PFF36-604G Front Upper Arm Bush Camber Adjustable is a Black 95 ShA polyurethane bush with a CNC-machined stainless-steel adjusting sleeve with offset bore and paired spanner allowing for up to +/- 0.5° of on-car camber adjustment and a 40% increase in stiffness over the OE rubber.
And there’s no need to disassemble the front suspension to make adjustments. Once fitted, just loosen the mounting bolts and rotate the adjusting sleeve with the provided spanner to achieve the desired geometry angle. Easy!
