Porsche used different gearboxes in their 996 and 997 range, manual and Tiptronic and they use different mountings on the end housing.
The OE rubber mounts are designed with voiding and have comfort in mind, however this makes them prone to softening and tearing with age. This promotes excessive gearbox and engine movement, resulting in imprecise gear shifting as well as impacting the handling of the vehicle.
By filling the voids in the OE bush, we can improve the feel, handling and power delivery with a noticeable improvement in the positivity of gear changes.
We now have two insert options available offering an easy to fit solution with no gearbox removal required.
